A critical bug is currently affecting Roblox's data storage servers

In the latest news, it looks like Roblox is having some serious issues with their datastore servers. If you're not familiar with what it is, it's what stores all the games data where things are collected and saved. This especially affects games like Adopt Me!, Welcome to Bloxburg, Shinobi Life 2 and many other games. It is strongly recommended at this time not to play games like this until the issue is resolved as any progress you make will not be saved.

This bug is so big that Adopt Me! set his game to private and issued the following statement:

Adopt Me has been temporarily made private due to a critical bug with Roblox's Datastore servers. If you ran into the bug and noticed that your save was reset and you lost items, don't worry - your inventory will return to normal once the issue is fixed.

If you head over to the Roblox status page, you can see that engineers are currently investigating the issue as we speak.

There's no current timeline for when things will be back online, so make sure you don't spend Robux on anything in-game just yet. You'll also just want to play games that don't store data, or ones you don't care about if you lose some of the progress you earn. It would be stuff like shooting games or obby games where you just play for fun!

Keep in mind that this is not the fault of any game itself. The problem is with the Roblox platform, no specific game caused this problem and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Roblox and all the games you play never want to be down, so yelling and yelling at you because you can't play won't solve anything!
