The Pokémon Company has released a cute new stop-motion video featuring the latest Hisuian Pokémon, Voltorb. Hisuian Voltorb is a dual-wielding Electric and Grass-type and takes on the appearance of an old-fashioned wooden Poké Ball. While the classic Voltorb gets angry quickly and explodes easily, Hisuian Voltorb is friendly and energetic.

Maybe too energetic based on the new stop-motion video. In the video, Hisuian Voltorb helps pick berries with a Pikachu, Buneary, and Spheal. However, Voltorb's excitement takes over and he begins to eat the Pokémon Berries before the others have a chance to eat them.

Spheal is so upset with Voltorb's high energy that he begins to run away crying. Voltorb chases after the Spheal before getting so excited that Voltorb is lifted into the air to let out a blast of electricity. The electricity fry the rest of the berries, making the other Pokemon angry and Voltorb a bit embarrassed. The video ends with a “To Be Continued…”, revealing that more stop motions are to come.

The Pokémon Company promoted the franchise with a variety of different animations, including Pokémon Generations and Pokémon Evolutions. However, this short by Hisuian Voltrob is one of the few times the franchise has been tipping its toes into stop-motion magic. The results are very adorable.
