While Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl stay pretty close to the originals, there's some new content to freshen things up a bit. You have a bit more choice in how your main character looks, and even a small amount of clothing styles to choose from. If you haven't explored the towns much, you might have missed the clothing store.
When you start the game and unlock the Mystery Gift feature, you can use it to automatically get the outfit that the main character wears in Pokemon Platinum. For the rest of the outfits, you'll need to head to Veilstone City.

The game corner in town has now been replaced by the Metronome-style shop. You can go here to buy new outfits or change between the ones you already own. The selection of outfits in the game is limited, but here's what you can buy in the store:
- Pikachu Hoodie: 8
- Overall Style: 21
- Evee Jacket Style: 98
- Gengar Lies Style : 98 000
- Cyberstyle : 45 000
- Winter Style: 50
- Spring Style: 34
- Casual Style: 86
- Leather Jacket Style: 120
Also, once you beat the Elite Four, the Summer Style will be unlocked for sale in the store.
