- Attention – (+Special Defense, -Special Attack)
- Mischievous – (+Defense, -Special Attack)
- Relaxed – (+Defense, -Speed)
- Sassy – (+Special Defense, -Speed)
We recommend either the mischievous or sassy nature. Which one you select depends on whether you want to focus Onix and Steelix on a physical defense role or boost his special defense to complement it. Their speed is already low enough, a small fall will not hurt him. Additionally, it will increase the chance of Gyro Ball dealing maximum damage.
Cautious and Mischievous Nature are also good choices as they will increase Onix and Steelix Defense or Special Defense depending on what you choose. Since they don't use a special attack, sacrificing this stat won't be a big inconvenience.
