Does Genshin Impact have Cross Save?

Does Genshin Impact have Cross Save?

Gacha players and fans of action exploration titles have been waiting for a while for a new title from Genshin Impact, 3rd developer of Honkai Impact, miYoHo. Today, that wait is over as the game is fully launched on PC, PS4, and mobile devices with cross-save and cross-save (mostly).

Genshin Impact features cross-play on all platforms, which means players can join friends on any platform to accept content. However, whether the title has cross-saves depends on the platform.

For the sake of clarification, the ability to use cross-saves means you can save on one platform and resume your game on another. It's a nice feature given the range of platforms the game is currently installed on, as well as its upcoming Nintendo Switch release, but one platform is left in the dust in this regard.

Cross-save works between Android, iOS and PC. This does not work on the PlayStation 4.

Players on mobile and PC devices must log in using a miYoHo account, which can be used on any of these devices to share cross-save data for playing at home or on the go.

PlayStation 4 Genshin Impact accounts are locked to the PlayStation Network ecosystem. Since the platform does not bind players to a miYoHo account, there is no cross-save support for PS4.

Luckily, that doesn't mean there's no crossplay for Genshin Impact players on PS4, just that they can't track their progress on their favorite mobile or PC device.

Genshin Impact has racked up over four million pre-registrations across the globe and the servers are taking a beating on launch day which is what makes the servers so slow.
