Barbara is one of four characters available in Genshin Impact's new Hangout event series. If you've got your eyes set on Mondstadt's brightest pop star, use our guide to make sure you don't miss some quality time with the youngsters. Deaconess.
Hangout Event Series I: Barbara Guide
Before you can unlock Hangout events, you must have met the following requirements:
- Tier 26+ Adventure
- Have story keys (earn a key every eight completed commissions)
- Completed the quest Archon: Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom

There are five endings in Barbara's Hangout event, which means you can also collect five different photos. The Genshin Impact Hangout Event Series won't punish you for choosing the wrong option – in fact, miHoYo encourages players to unlock all endings by revisiting certain scenes and choosing different outcomes! Almost every game rewards you with primogems and the ability to collect more photos, so don't worry if you select the wrong choice the first time around. You can even unlock an achievement for completing all of a character's endings.
Without further ado, here's how to achieve all five of Barbara's endings.
Untimely enthusiasm
After Sister Victoria expresses concern about Barbara's whereabouts, you'll find the Deaconess in Wolvendom, where she collects rare herbs. You will both hear someone screaming for Barbara, but she doesn't want to be found by anyone else just yet.
When the choice on how to deal with this person comes up, select “Wait here, we will remove this person”.
You'll go up against the only member of the search party - Albert, a self-proclaimed member of the Barbara Fan Club - and you won't do a very good job of persuading him to leave. Tell Albert that the forest noises he hears are only monsters and wolves. This should lead to fierce denial, followed by Albert yelling even louder for Barbara and your first Hangout Events photo.
The taste of hard work
In the early forest scenes, escape deeper into the woods with Barbara, or persuade Albert to leave (tell him you've been fighting monsters all day and haven't heard a sound - that should do the trick).
You'll return to the church and do a quick cleaning task, for which Barbara wants to thank you with a drink. For this particular purpose, tell him you want "your special Chilibrew." This choice leads to another foraging quest, for which you can split up or trick each other into staying together. Tell Barbara, “I think it would be better if we stayed together. Alternatively, you can choose to part ways if you remember to take the "sweet flowers" option a merchant will offer you later, but you'll have a much tougher battle on your hands.
While searching for high-quality sweet flowers in the Whispering Woods, you will have to defeat a small band of monsters. Then, a suspicious stranger named Uwe appears and begs Barbara for her healing powers. Barbara will ask you to watch it for her so she can pick some herbs. Respond with “…No problem. See what you can find, I'll take care of him. »
Barbara successfully heals Treasurer Definitely Not Treasure, who becomes beholden to her and lets the two of you pass without issue. When the two of you return to Mondstadt, Barbara will prepare her special Chilibrew and you will share a cute moment in the church garden.
Vacation in Mondstadt
When Barbara offers to buy you a drink, say "Fantastic Summer-Serendipity Coral Sparking Tea is truly amazing." This choice prompts a stop at The Cat's Tail, where Barbara is overrun by voracious fans. Drive them away; all dialog options should work here. You will take a walk with Barbara on the Mondstadt bridge, and the rest of the “date” will go by without any more problems.

A fiery flavor of Liyue
To get this ending, tell Barbara you want her Special Chilibrew, then say you should split up.
After searching for Barbara in the Whispering Woods, you'll find her facing a group of treasurers who have taken a Liyue merchant hostage. This is a three-round battle with lots of enemies, so pull out all stops. Once the Treasure Hoarders are defeated, the merchant will thank you and offer three different rewards: High-Quality Sweet Blossoms (choose this for The Taste of Hard Work), Mora, or Liyue Chilibrew. Take this last option.
The drink will make you cry, but at least you had fun trying something new together!
Incompletely cured
Tell Barbara you want her Special Chilibrew, then say you should stick together.
You will enter the Whispering Woods as a couple and meet Uwe, a treasurer posing as a hunter. Uwe has suffered injuries in a battle of monsters, and Barbara, despite her reservations, wants to heal him as it is her duty.
When the choice comes up, say “Wait, Barbara. He's a suspicious character, we should take him to see the Knights first. »
Provoked, Uwe will become hostile. Defeat him quickly and talk to Barbara, who is not settled by this whole affair. She will leave the forest alone, resulting in this painful last photo.
Introducing Barbara's Hangout Event
During this character quest, you'll learn more about Barbara through various intimate scenes, including her secret burdens and family dynamics.
The heart gauge displayed at the top of the screen during these events seems to be just for show, as none of the answers we chose (including the rude ones!) had any effect on the number of hearts that we had with Barbara. This is just another reminder when reading Hangout events to not worry about selecting the “wrong” option.
