One of the most frequent events in Pokémon Go (after catching Pokémon) is crossing over with a Team GO Rocket Grunt. While these troublemaking villains are usually easily defeated, their lineup of Pokémon can sometimes surprise you with a change that includes a stronger than usual Pokémon. In this guide, we cover every possible list for Team GO Rocket Grunts and the best way to counter them.
Currently, there's only one way to determine which type of Pokemon you'll be fighting against when you encounter a Grunt: their tagline. What may surprise you is that whatever they say will determine what type of Pokemon you should put in your own roster before the battle begins. To make things easier, we've sorted the slogans alphabetically below. To access this list of Pokemon, simply click on the phrase that matches what is said by the Team GO Rocket Grunt you encountered.
Regarding the lists below: Any Pokemon you see with a next to its name has a chance of being the Pokemon you save when you defeat the Grunt.
