The brilliant Days Gone was released in 2019 by Bend Studio and recently received a graphical update for the PlayStation 5. Not only that, but it's one of the free games of April 2021 on PlayStation Plus! So given that now is the time to experience the game for the first time, or possibly revisit it for the added beauty that comes with the PS5, we've scoured all the places to find out where you can find Hordes after- Apocalyptic Oregon.
Horde locations in Days Gone
Note that these locations can vary wildly in difficulty and some are not worth trying or even will only be available much later in the game when the protagonist, Deacon, is much more equipped to handle them. Also be as prepared as possible. , because once you have the Freakers on your tail, it's hard to get rid of them!
Belknap
- Bear Creek Hot Springs Horde – Exactly west of the Bear Creek Hot Springs Ambush Camp, they will inhabit a cave near Sarah's Memorial Site.
- Belknap Crater Horde – In a cave located northwest of the Belknap Caves Ambush Camp.
- Lava Arch Horde – Head to Lava Arch, you'll find a small cave lined with rope fences in central Belknap.
- Marion Forks Horde – Exactly south of the small town of Marion Forks, they will be lying in wait in a cave on the east side of this road.
- Patjens Lakes Horde – Go to Rebel Rock Cave, the horde will be northwest of Hot Springs Camp, on the left side of the small bridge.
- Shadow Lake Horde – North of the NERO Tunnel checkpoint in Marion Forks, they will be hiding in a cave at the top of Shadow Lake.
- Twin Craters Horde – In the southeasternmost corner of Belknap, the horde will be inside a cave southeast of the nearby gas station.

Cascades
- Cascade Highway Horde – Head exactly north of the Horse Creek Ambush Camp, follow the railroad bridge and you'll find the horde on the side of the mountain to the east.
- Death Train Horde – Further south you will encounter this horde a few meters from the Horse Lake NERO checkpoint. They will sleep in cars during the day or roam at night.
- Grotto Caves Horde – Go west of the Old Pioneer Cemetery NERO checkpoint, which is north of the parking lot up the hill.
- Horse Lake Horde – On the road heading east after the Horse Lake NERO checkpoint, you'll find this sleeping horde on the left.
- Little Bear Lake Horde – Directly above the Little Bear Lake NERO checkpoint, go down the slope and they'll be in the cave.
- O'Leary Mountain Horde - From the shelter where Boozer recovers for the early hours of the game, head north. They will wait in a cave in the mountain.
- Proxy Falls Horde – Cross the stone bridge south of Horse Creek Ambush Camp. Once again they will be in a cave.
- White King Mine Horde – Go to the northwest corner of the Cascades, find and cross the small wooden bridge and you will meet the horde inside the nearby mine.
crater lake
- Mcleod Ridge Horde - Head northeast from Diamond Lake camp, they'll be in the snowy area of the pull up map near the base of the mountain.
- Mount. Bailey Horde - Go exactly east of the Diamond Lake camp, they'll be in a cave northwest of Crater Lake.
- Rimview Ranch Horde - Head to the northeast corner of Crater Lake, you'll come across a burn nest in a cave. The horde will be right after the nest.
Highway 97
- Beasley Lake Horde – On foot, head east from Sagebrush Point Horde. Inside a cave on the other side of a small pond, you'll find the Beasley Lake Horde.
- Beaver Marsh Rest Stop Horde – Go to the bottom of the snowy area that has a windy river, the horde will be northeast of the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway NERO checkpoint.
- Cascade Lakes Rail Line Horde – This horde is again in a cave, near the river that is on the north side of Chemult.
- Chemult Community College Horde – Head to Chemult Community College, this horde is towards the back of campus near the NERO Checkpoint (warning: it's difficult!).
- Chemult Station Horde – Another horde of wagons that can be found south of Chemult.
- Mount. Scott Ski Resort Horde – In the northeast snowy area, stick to the river that goes north to find a horde of caves.
- Sagebrush Point Horde – On the outskirts of the snowy part of Route 97 to the northeast, there is a Horde in a cave near the power line tower.
- Friendship Ridge Horde – East of the gas station, cross the river to find another horde that is just before the Bare Bay Ambush Camp.
- Groose Gardens Horde – Head east from Chemult Community College and go across the highway near the road obstacle to find this horde.
- Juniper Ridge Horde - Head south from Chemult Community College and down the ridge to the west, you'll find a horde of caves.
- Lobert Draw Ridge Horde – Fight your way south of the Pillette Bridge NERO checkpoint, you'll find a horde of railroad lines.
- Rum Rye Gulch Horde – Head south from Chemult Community College, as with the Juniper Ridge horde, you'll find this horde in a cave closer to where you start the ridge.
- Chemult Station Horde – Another train horde south of Chemult.
- Solomon Hill Horde – In the northwest corner, a little north of the Aspen Butte Ambush Camp, you'll find a cave horde waiting for you at Solomon Hill.

lost lake
- Lake Berley Horde – On the southern border of Lost Lake, northeast of the Santiam Tunnel NERO checkpoint and before Santiam Pass, there is a horde of riverside caves.
- Metolius Lava Cave Horde – Head north from Iron Mike's camp and travel to the top of the border for the Cascades and Lost Lake, the horde will be in the Metolius Lava Caves.
- River Flow Farms Horde – Trek north from Iron Mike's Farm, find the NERO research site and the horde will be in the cave right next to it.
- Sherman's Camp Horde – Exactly west of Iron Mike's Farm, there is a small town called Sherman's Camp. You'll find the Sleeping Horde in the Level2 store on the east side of town.
- Wapinitia Road Horde – Straight north of Lake Berley Ambush Camp, there will be an entrance to a small cave just before the main road.
- Westfir Horde - Go west from Iron Mike's camp, cross the whole lake to find the horde in a small cave. It's just before three buildings close together that have roofs of various colors.
