With over 25 years of history, the Pokémon franchise has amassed quite a catalog of creatures. The list grows with new Pokémon that players can collect, trade, and evolve with each generation. Generations typically last three to four years, and with the eighth generation of Pokemon beginning in 2019, the ninth generation might not be too far off. Yet another generation did not receive an announcement in December 2021. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes are the latest titles to be released on Nintendo Switch, with Pokémon Legends: Arceus set to debut on January 28, 2021, which plans to add even more entries to the long list of existing Pokémon.
