Stardust is an essential material in Pokémon GO. It is a consumable used for trade and evolution, so players should know how to obtain this valuable resource.
Players can earn Stardust by capturing Pokémon, hatching them, participating in training events, or participating in the GO Battle League.

The most common way for players to earn stardust is by catching various Pokemon in the game. Catching each player Pokemon grants a minimum of 100 stardust, and weather upgrades can increase the earning net of a catch. The higher the evolution of the Pokémon, the more Stardust a player can also earn. We've posted a table from the Pokémon GO Wiki below with each of Stardust's possible payouts.

This first catch of the day also grants a Stardust bonus of 1, and if players catch Pokemon seven days in a row, they will earn 800 Stardust.
Also, be sure to keep the following methods in mind when playing GO, as these unconventional methods can net players significant stardust.
- Depending on the type of Egg players hatch, they will also earn Stardust for each Pokemon they earn this way.
- Opening gifts can give 100, 200, or 300 Stardust.
- Completing Raid Battles grants 1 Stardust.
- Participating in Trainer Battles in the Great League can earn players up to 600 Stardust, Ultra League Team Battle can grant up to 800 Stardust, and Master League Team Battle can earn up to 1 Stardust.
- Defeat Team GO Rocket Grunts for 500 Stardust
- Defeat Giovanni for 5 Stardust
- Claim the Research Breakthrough for 2 Stardust
