How to Evolve Pokemon in Pokemon Masters EX

In Pokemon Masters EX, players can search for Sync Pairs, which are pairs of characters and Pokemon that always battle together. The same character can be paired with another Pokemon, but only after the game has released a different version of it. In this sense, you want to nurture the Pokemon a trainer is bonded to so it can do its best in battle.

While some Sync Pairs come with pre-evolved Pokémon, such as Signa Suit Red and Charizard, others come with pre-evolved forms, like Kris and Totodile.

To evolve Pokemon, start by heading to the Explore menu and selecting Sync Pair Stories. As the name suggests, you'll find all the stories related to a specific Sync Pair you already own. If you see the Not Evolved Yet icon in the top right, the Sync Pair contains a Pokémon that can be evolved!

Select Pokemon evolution story to trigger a battle. It costs x5 Evolution Shard to start the battle for the first evolution. It costs x3 Evolution Crystal for the second evolution. If you lose the battle, you will get your evolution materials back.

There is no level limit to evolve your Pokémon, so you can wait until you are ready or choose not to evolve them at all. However, you will miss stat and skill bonuses. But choose carefully, because once your Pokemon have evolved, there's no way to return them to their previous state.
