Genshin Impact is filled to the brim with lore, but we still don't know what's really going on in the world of Teyvat. Everything from Fatui's true purpose to the archons' moral stance is a bit of a mystery. The Genshin Impact free manga contains a huge piece of the Teyvat puzzle, however, and helps set up Sumeru.
Genshin Impact manga is set before the game begins. It is a prequel that goes over several different key events. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be a chance of these events being made into a cutscene, so the only way to find out about them is to read.
