Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes the Pokémon franchise in a uniquely different direction and leads it down a new road, filled with new mechanics and a semi-open world formula. The main change is the new battle system, where Pokemon moves are fully animated as the fight ensues.
From the continuous leaks of Pokémon Legends: Arceus being in the wild, they report that there are a total of 180 usable moves in the game, thanks to the compilation sheet found on the Smogon forums. While at least 25 of them are new, 180 doesn't seem like a lot compared to the total, which is 850 - that includes all the special moves from the latest games, G-Max Moves, etc.

Movement animations have been a gripe for Pokémon fans worldwide, and as technology advances, some are still unhappy with the lack of physical contact from Pokémon attacks. Worry not, as these 180 moves have been overhauled and reanimated with the new combat system in mind.
While this seems like a movement restriction, consider it a quality upgrade because you can finally see Pokémon battles unfold right before your eyes.
