What is the threat system in Yakuza: Like A Dragon?

If you've ever noticed while walking around any of the various locations in Yakuza Like Dragon, you've probably noticed at some point a small yellow bar icon on the right side of your screen. This yellow bar is Yakuza Like Dragon's threat system, and if you're wondering how exactly it works, keep reading below to find out.

How the threat system works in Yakuza: Like A Dragon

In short, the threat system is Yakuza Like A Dragon's way of displaying the difficulty of certain areas, where the higher the bar, the tougher the enemies, and vice versa. That said, if the bar only has two dots, that indicates enemies are a bit around your level; however, if he has four or six, you will fight and find stronger enemies.

The threat system will also increase as you level up to reflect your current party level. However, it should be noted that there is no way to lower the threat level, and areas with high threat levels will remain difficult. This can actually work to your advantage as you can farm these areas for Yen and XP.
