The Pokémon Company has revealed lots of new information for its upcoming release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The games' latest trailer showed what kind of Legendary Pokemon fans can expect to see in which games. Most Legendaries will be found in the New Ramanas Park area, but there is a pair of Mythical Pokémon that players can only obtain if they have saved files from other Pokémon games on the Nintendo Switch.
How to get Mew and Jirachi
Mew is the iconic mythical Pokémon from the original generation of Pokémon games. Mew received notoriety among fans for being difficult to obtain during the era of the Red and Blue games and for starring opposite his clone Mewtwo in Pokémon: The First Movie. Jirachi is a mythical Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation of Pokémon games, Ruby and Sapphire. Jirachi was a Special Event Pokemon, only available in document form to players who travel to a specific location or event.

Both Mythicals will be available for free in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but only if you have a specific Pokemon games save file on the Switch. If players have a Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! or Let's Go, Eevee!, Mew can be obtained by talking to a woman standing in the flower field in Floaroma Town. If players have a Pokémon Sword or Shield save file, Jirachi can be obtained by talking to a man standing with the woman in the same flower field in Floaroma Town.
