Genshin Impact can be a tough game as you explore unfamiliar areas. One of the best ways to survive in the game is to bring a healer with you. MiHoYo even goes the extra mile by giving all players a free Barbara.
Barbara is free for anyone who plays the game once they get a little further into the story. She is a four-star hydro character and one of the only dedicated healers in the game. Like Lisa, she is a catalyst and the only hydro character that can be obtained without using wishes.

There are two tasks you need to complete first to get your free Barbara in Genshin Impact:
- Complete the quest "A Warning Shot".
- Reach Adventurer Rank 18.
After defeating Dvaline, the first boss in the game's history, and reaching the Adventure rank requirement, go to the event page for Barbara's Shining Debut and claim her. It will be added to your group and ready to use immediately afterwards.
This event is easily done in one long session or in a few days of casual play.
