Genshin Impact has taken the world by storm, but many gamers want all of their games to be in one place, especially if they're playing on PC. So is Genshin Impact available on Steam, the largest PC game digital distribution customer?
The answer is no and yes. Genshin Impact cannot be downloaded from Steam or any other distribution software like GoG, Epic Game Store or Uplay. It can only be acquired through miHoYo's own publishing site and downloading their client to install it. There's no word if Genshin will appear on any other client, so if you're waiting for Steam to release, just bite the bullet and download from miHoYo.
But you can play Genshin Impact through Steam itself to access all features provided by Steam, chat, screenshots, etc. All you have to do is use Steams to add a non-Steam games feature.

To do this, wait for Genshin Impact to be installed and log in to your Stream account. Then follow these steps.
- In the bottom left corner, they will be an Add Game option.
- Click it, then select Add Non-Steam Game.
- Browse the list of games and apps to find Genshin Impact.
- Check the box to the left of its name.
- Then click Add Selected Programs.
Check that your library and Genshin Impact will be there, then run it like you would any other Steam game.
