Where can you find all High Stakes Treasure Map locations in Red Dead Redemption 2? Are you short of money? Don't worry, you can just hunt down a treasure map or two. These are rare, with only three (four if you have a fancy deluxe edition) available in the game, but they're well worth spotting.
Each provides you with thousands of dollars in gold bars, so you'll never run out of cash when it comes to beating them all. In this guide, we will help you find the treasure that is on the High Stakes Treasure Maps. High Stakes Treasure Map 1
To get the first treasure map, you actually have to trigger a random event with a treasure hunter. You can only trigger this random event during Chapter Three, so continue through the story if you haven't reached that stage yet. If you have one, browse the map displayed above to find the treasure hunter.
If you feel like you've passed and ignored this guy a few times already, visit a fence to see if they have the first treasure map. After you pass and ignore this guy a total of three times, the map will then spawn at a fence.
Either way, once you find the treasure hunter, you need to steal the map from him. Lasso the poor turf and loot it on its body then leave it there or release it, depending on the type of guy you want to be. You now have the first treasure map.
High Stakes Treasure Map 2
Recognize the waterfall on the map? That's right – it's Cumberland Falls. By the way, stand on the right side of the waterfall. This is the right side in front.
Now go over the log bridge and up behind the waterfall. Once inside, you will easily find the next treasure map.
High Stakes Treasure Map 3
It's time to get out your winter coat because you're about to go on a trip to the Grizzlies. Head west of the Grizzlies and into Barrow Lagoon. Once here, you will find an island in the center of the frozen lake. Climb on it, then walk on the rudimentary log bridge. About halfway through you should see a hole - grab and grab the third and final treasure map.
Status of Ascended Treasures
This treasure can be a bit of a pain to gather. Travel to Bacchus Station and dismount as shown west of the name on the map. You will see tiny ledges that you can reach at the top of the cliff. Head over there and walk right, drop down platforms and dodge as needed. Eventually, you'll find a small hole in the cliff that hides your gold bars. Good work!
