Pressure plates are grounded circular platforms that light up when activated. These are most commonly found in Liyue and are part of various puzzles that dot the nation. Activating these pressure plates is simple: they will light up when stepped on. However, stepping out of the plate will cause the light to dissipate.
Some puzzles require you to light two to three or more pressure plates at the same time. If there's no one to help you through Co-op, you need to get a little creative with how to activate them.
Your best bet is to use a Geo Construct to help activate pressure plates of any size. These are usually the elemental skills of geo characters and will stay in the field long enough to activate all the plates needed to complete the puzzles. But other characters can also do the job.
Elemental skills of the following characters can activate larger pressure plates:
- Traveler (Geo)
- Zhongli
- Albedo
- Arataki Itto
- Ningguang (jade screen can be difficult to position)
- Klee (Jumpy Dumpty can be difficult to position)

Meanwhile, the following characters' elemental skills can activate smaller pressure plates:
- All characters can activate a small plate by standing on it
- ambre
- Fischl (requires Stellar Predator passive; use charged shot to position Oz)
- ganyu
- Mona
Characters who can activate small pressure plates can still illuminate part of a larger pressure plate. However, the puzzles will only complete if the plate is fully lit.
