If you're really into Genshin Impact, you're probably trying to find every item in the game. Luckily, there's a system that shows you how many of each area you've completed. To max them out and get 100% completion, you'll need to put in a lot of work.
You can check an area's completion rate at any time by going to your map and scrolling. The more an area is filled with oculi and chests, the longer it will take to complete everything. Many players don't even know what counts towards completion and what doesn't.

How to get 100% exploration in Genshin Impact:
- Return each Seelie to its pedestal.
- Shoot all the inflated floats.
- Complete all time and combat trials.
- Open each chest.
- Solve all the puzzles in the world.
- Find all regions of oculi.
In many cases, you'll also need to complete quests to unlock certain areas of the map, especially once you get to Inazuma. The best way to make sure you find everything is to split up the area and explore each room thoroughly.
Once you raise your city's rank for each region, you will also receive a treasure and oculi tracking recipe. These can help find the latest collectibles in an area.
