Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, the upcoming remakes of classic Nintendo DS games, have a release date. Fans of the franchise will return to the Sinnoh region on November 19, 2021.
Announced by the Pokémon Company and Nintendo on each company's respective Twitter accounts, the two remakes are set to launch side-by-side. Each game will be sold separately for $59,99 or players can purchase Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl together in a double pack for $119,00. All call options are launched on the same day.
The Pokémon Company has faithfully remade both versions of classic Nintendo DS titles (Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl) released in 2007. In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Sinnoh region has been carefully preserved in a familiar yet updated way. day that implements a new style of chibi art.
Players will again choose one of three starter Pokémon: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. Along the journey, players will encounter places like the mighty Mount Coronet with the legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. Each legendary creature is featured on the box art of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, seen above.
The game culminates in challenging the Pokémon League and becoming the champion of the Sinnoh region. Both remakes appear to be set close to the original titles and it's unclear what new surprises might be in store for returning players at this time.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are now available for physical and digital pre-order.
