As players begin their journey through the Sinnoh region, whether as returning veterans or newcomers, they will encounter many Pokémon. They will also notice that they need to earn money if they want to buy Pokéballs, potions, and other items.

Coin Amulet
One of the easiest ways to earn money is to get the amulet. This Detained Item can be found in Amity Square in Hearthome City. Once given to a Pokémon, it will double the price of battles that Pokémon have participated in. Here's how to get the amulet in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- Get a cute Pokemon your starter will work just as well as Buneary, Happiny, Clefairy, Pikachu, Psyduck, Pachirisu or Drifloon.
- Go to Amity Square in Hearthome City.
- From the eastern entrance, head north to the two ruins. Enter the one on the left and you will find the amulet piece.
lucky incense
Incense of Luck acts in the same way as the Amulet, doubling the cost of battles in which the Pokémon holding it has participated. The effects of the Lucky Amulet and Incense do not stack. Here's how to get lucky incense in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
- You will need Rock Smash and Surf Hidden Moves.
- Go to the ravaged path on Route 204.
- Use Surf at the first water you see when entering the cave.
- Come out of the water to the left and follow the path to the lucky incense.
Rich trainers
If you don't mind beating some trainers, you can use the VS Seeker to battle rich trainers and rich couples. Note those who donate a lot of money after the battle and use the VS Seeker to challenge them again. Keep in mind that you have to take 100 steps to recharge it before you can use it again.
